About this event

Join us for the 2nd Annual Southernmost Youth Regatta, held January 15-17, 2027, in Key West, Florida. Hosted by the Key West Community Sailing Center at the iconic Truman Waterfront Park, the SMYR showcases the next generation of sailors in a weekend of competitive racing, community, engagement, and waterfront activities.

With easy access to downtown Key West, this two-day youth regatta brings together junior sailors from across the region to compete in one of the most iconic sailing venues in the United States. The event features the Optimist (Green Fleet and RWB), ILCA (4 & 6), and 420 class.

Set in the warm, turquoise waters off Key West, the regatta offers excellent racing conditions and the chance for young sailors to test their skills on our ocean course. Our Green Fleet will race inside the protected Navy basin off the park, with viewing along the sea wall & on the USCGC Ingham Maritime Museum.

Join us at the Southernmost point of the continental U.S. for a youth regatta that’s as fun as it is competitive!
