Using Laylines

Laylines provides tools for sailing teams, organizers, and sailors to manage boats, crews, event plans, invitations, availability, event discovery, and related coordination workflows. You must use Laylines only for lawful sailing, team, and event coordination purposes.

Accounts And Organizations

• You are responsible for accurate account information and all activity under your account.
• Organization owners are responsible for team setup, member access, roles, billing, and organization-level privacy settings.
• Do not share sign-in credentials, bypass access controls, or use another person's account without permission.
• You must have permission to invite crew, manage event details, upload content, or submit information about other people.

Plans, Billing, And Cancellation

Paid plans, checkout, invoices, payment methods, and subscription changes are handled through Stripe. Organization owners are responsible for subscription choices and billing activity for their organization.

• Prices, plan limits, and included features are shown in the product or at checkout.
• Plan limits may apply to boats, events, crew slots, notifications, and other organization features.
• You can manage supported billing actions through Laylines or Stripe-hosted billing surfaces.
• Unless required by law or stated at checkout, fees are not automatically refundable for partial billing periods.
• If billing state looks wrong, contact support before creating duplicate subscriptions or accounts.

Third-Party Event Data

Laylines indexes, normalizes, and displays event information from public and third-party sailing sources such as regatta platforms and club systems. We work to keep event data useful, but source data may be incomplete, stale, duplicated, or changed by the original organizer.

Always confirm official event details, registration requirements, fees, rules, schedules, safety notices, and eligibility with the event organizer or source platform before making commitments.

Content And Communications

• You retain responsibility for content you submit, including boat details, event details, crew notes, profile information, messages, and uploads.
• Do not submit unlawful, misleading, harmful, infringing, confidential, or sensitive information that you are not allowed to provide.
• Use contact information and crew data only for legitimate sailing coordination and respect privacy preferences.
• Operational emails, invitations, reminders, billing notices, and account messages may be sent as part of the service.

Acceptable Use

• Do not abuse, harass, spam, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or interfere with Laylines.
• Do not attempt unauthorized access to accounts, organizations, billing data, event workflows, or private contact information.
• Do not use Laylines to violate privacy, intellectual property, export, consumer protection, anti-spam, or other legal obligations.
• Do not misrepresent affiliation with a boat, team, club, class, event, or organizer.

Service Changes And Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves. We may also limit or suspend access if needed to protect users, comply with law, prevent abuse, address billing problems, or maintain reliability.

Disclaimers And Liability

Laylines is provided on an as-available basis. We do not control third-party event sources, sailing conditions, race committee decisions, venue policies, weather, crew availability, or payment processors. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Laylines disclaims warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data. By using Laylines, you also agree to the practices described there.
